SERVER RULES
The rules below exist to preserve a fair, organized and healthy environment for the entire L2Free community. By using L2Free services, players acknowledge these rules and are responsible for complying with them. Not knowing the rules does not exempt users from responsibility for their actions. The Administration may review each situation individually and apply the measures it considers appropriate according to the nature and severity of the conduct, circumstances, impact caused, user history and any recurrence. Measures may include, among others, warnings, feature restrictions, mute, jail, temporary suspension or permanent ban, without the need to follow any specific order or progression.
1. L2FREE STAFF
L2Free staff members will not request items, passwords or any other benefit from players. The staff will also not request an account password through in-game messages, social media, Discord, WhatsApp or any other support channel. If someone claims to be a staff member and makes requests of this nature, the player should end the contact and report the situation through L2Free's official channels. Always use official channels to verify any communication attributed to the Administration.
2. IMPERSONATION AND STAFF IMITATION
It is prohibited to create characters, clans or accounts, or to use names, titles, messages or any other means with the intention of impersonating an L2Free staff member or misleading other players into believing that an official relationship with the Administration exists. It is also prohibited to use a false identity to obtain accounts, items, information, payments or any other advantage from other users. Attempts involving fraud, social engineering or other forms of deception may result in administrative measures.
3. ADVERTISING OTHER SERVERS AND SERVICES
It is prohibited to use any environment or channel maintained by L2Free to advertise, promote or recruit players for other Lineage II servers. This prohibition applies, among others, to the game, chats, Discord and other official project channels. Using L2Free services to deliberately advertise external products, services, communities or content without authorization from the Administration may also be considered a violation, particularly when it constitutes spam or promotional activity.
4. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE, BUGS AND EXPLOITS
The use of unauthorized third-party programs, tools, modifications or mechanisms that provide automation, an unfair advantage or otherwise improperly interfere with the operation of the game is prohibited. Features and systems officially provided by L2Free itself are not considered third-party software for the purposes of this rule. It is also prohibited to deliberately exploit bugs, flaws, vulnerabilities, unexpected behavior or configuration errors to obtain advantages, generate or duplicate resources, circumvent limitations or harm other players or server systems. When identifying a possible flaw, players should report it to the Administration through official channels rather than exploiting it or disclosing it for the purpose of enabling its exploitation. Attempts to conceal, distribute or deliberately benefit from the results of an exploit may also be considered a violation.
5. REQUESTS TO THE ADMINISTRATION
Do not request items, experience, skills, privileges, character modifications or any other individual benefit from the Administration. The staff does not grant individual advantages to players, characters or clans. Support requests concerning genuine problems, bugs, accounts, systems or other situations requiring administrative intervention should be submitted through the official channels provided by L2Free.
6. EXTERNAL TRADING AND RMT
L2Free does not prohibit transactions made directly between players involving accounts, characters or items outside the server's official systems. However, this type of transaction is not recommended, mediated, guaranteed or protected by the Administration. Any external transaction is carried out entirely at the risk of the parties involved. L2Free does not act as an intermediary or guarantor for payments, deliveries, promises or agreements made between players and does not provide support for losses resulting from such transactions. Before entering into any external transaction, players should consider the risks involved, particularly fraud, unpaid payments, subsequent account recovery, false information or failure by either party to honor the agreement. An external transaction does not prevent the Administration from enforcing other server rules if the transaction involves fraud against L2Free systems, exploitation of flaws or other prohibited conduct.
7. ACCOUNT SECURITY AND USER RESPONSIBILITY
Players are responsible for the security of their credentials and for the use of their accounts. Do not share your password with third parties and exercise caution when sharing account access with other people. The Administration cannot guarantee the security of accounts whose credentials have been voluntarily shared, reused on other services or exposed by the user. When necessary, the Administration may review available records to investigate an occurrence involving accounts, characters or items. The existence of records or the performance of an investigation does not create an obligation to restore items, reverse transactions, return resources or compensate for any losses. Each situation may be reviewed individually according to the information available.
8. REGISTRATION DATA AND ACCOUNT RECOVERY
Players are responsible for providing a valid email address during registration and maintaining access to that address. Recovery of an L2Free account is performed exclusively through the registered email address. The Administration is not responsible for the loss of access to the email address used by the player. For security reasons, the staff will not recover an account through alternative information, claims of ownership, knowledge about characters, informal proof or other means intended to replace access to the registered email address. Keep your access information secure and use an email address to which you expect to maintain permanent access.
9. CHAT AND COMMUNITY CONDUCT
L2Free communication channels must be used in a manner compatible with appropriate community interaction. Racist, discriminatory, pornographic or deliberately derogatory and offensive content that goes beyond the reasonable limits of provocation and rivalry inherent to a competitive environment is prohibited. Hero Chat and other high-visibility channels must not be used for spam, unauthorized advertising or other purposes incompatible with their intended function. Discussions, provocations and rivalries between players, clans and alliances are part of Lineage II's competitive environment, but they do not justify behavior that violates these rules. The Administration may intervene when content or behavior exceeds the limits considered acceptable for channels maintained by L2Free.
10. FALSE ACCUSATIONS AND MANIPULATION OF INFORMATION
Players may submit criticism, complaints, questions and reports concerning the server or administrative decisions through the appropriate channels. Disagreeing with a decision made by the Administration or submitting a report in good faith does not, by itself, constitute a violation of the rules. However, fabricating, falsifying, altering or manipulating evidence is prohibited, as is making deliberately false accusations with the intention of deceiving other players, harming staff members or intentionally damaging the community or the project. Deliberate disinformation campaigns based on knowingly false claims or manipulated evidence may also be considered violations. The Administration may evaluate the context and available information to distinguish a legitimate complaint from a deliberate attempt at fraud or disinformation.
11. ANTI-GAME AND SYSTEM ABUSE
It is prohibited to deliberately misuse characters, accounts, systems or mechanics with the purpose of obtaining advantages or rewards without legitimate participation, disrupting the operation of activities or placing other participants at a disadvantage in a manner incompatible with the purpose of the system. This includes, for example, intentionally registering or keeping alternate characters in events without any genuine intention to participate, solely to obtain possible rewards if their team wins, thereby harming the other members of the team. Other forms of deliberate manipulation of events, rewards or systems may also be considered Anti-Game when the conduct clearly contradicts the purpose of the activity and harms its operation or other participants. The mere use of alternate characters does not constitute a violation. The manner and purpose for which they are used are taken into consideration. Likewise, normal behavior arising from the competitive nature of Lineage II — including PvP, PK, competition over farming areas, Raid Bosses, clan wars, rivalries and conflicts between players — does not constitute Anti-Game by itself.
12. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE RULES AND ADMINISTRATIVE MEASURES
By using L2Free services, players acknowledge the rules applicable to the server. Lack of knowledge, incorrect interpretation or failure to read the rules does not exempt users from responsibility for their actions. The Administration may review situations that are not literally described in these rules when they involve clear abuse, fraud, exploitation of systems or conduct incompatible with the proper operation of the services. Administrative measures will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account factors such as the nature and severity of the violation, circumstances, impact caused, user history and any recurrence. There is no fixed punishment table and no requirement for measures to be applied progressively. Depending on the circumstances, a violation may result directly in a more severe measure. Attempts to circumvent an administrative measure through other accounts, characters or means may result in additional measures. The Administration may review a decision if new relevant information concerning the case becomes available.
